Our Company

SHW Design is a renowned foodservice design consultancy with a global reputation. Established in 2002, our company boasts extensive experience in creating innovative kitchen and bar designs for a wide range of hospitality industries.

Our creativity, unique insight and position as a leader in food and beverage design across multiple sectors enable our clients to provide stunning foodservice experiences. We thrive on projects which offer complex and often overlapping challenges, be that in luxury hotels, boutique restaurants or the corporate workplace.

Our understanding of international gastronomy, refined by working alongside the world’s finest chefs, architects and interior designers, allows us to develop concepts that are not just state of the art, but visionary. Our Team

Through Gareth’s innovative leadership and design, SHW has brought a change to foodservice consultancy to make it more collaborative with clients and peers. A hands-on leader, Gareth oversees the day-to-day operations whilst maintaining his role as a project lead. 

After an earlier career in hotel operations and service delivery, Rebecca moved to sales and later procurement positions within the Foodservice sector. Her diverse experience provides a comprehensive 360º view, enables her to work with teams to bring service improvement, transformation, and commercial efficiency. Rebecca's expertise lies in delivering value by balancing financial drivers with customer experience. Rebecca has worked with Gareth since 1999 and SHW since 2016 (or just one of them….you choose) and works with the team to develop catering strategies, design briefs, operational reviews and catering operator sourcing activity.

In his role as National Design Director, Graham spearheaded the development of design codes of practice and standards for a prominent nationwide equipment contractor. Leading a dedicated sales and projects team, he oversaw numerous installations each year. With over 22 years of expertise in the field, Graham's wealth of knowledge enhances the SHW team significantly.

Jack joined the industry as SHW’s very first apprentice CAD technician in 2015, he is now a Senior Design Consultant looking after his own projects from concept through to completion, implementing a collaborative approach with the wider design team, whilst ensuring the design and technical documents are produced to the highest of standards.

James joined SHW as their third apprentice CAD technician in 2017 after spending several months in the foodservice industry at his local golf club. He has since completed his apprenticeship course in 2018 during which he has gained practical and on-site experience of the industry. More recently James’ role has developed towards consultancy, and he continues to coordinate with 3rd party consultants, architectural & project management teams.

Max joined SHW as trainee CAD technician in 2020, his career & interest in catering started while working as a waiter in a local restaurant. During his time at SHW Design, Max has been increasing his portfolio of projects with each one presenting new and varied challenges. Seeing each of these projects through to completion has given Max a greater insight into interpreting Design briefs & ensuring the client is satisfied with our services from concept to completion.
